For the first time the professional engineer accreditation exam will include questions on cold-formed steel. This is just one more validation of the merits of cold-formed steel construction and its growing importance.
The American Iron and Steel Institute and the Steel Framing Alliance, both located in Washington, DC, have applauded the decision by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying to include the questions on light-frame cold-framed steel construction on the 16 hour exam.
The questions will be included on a new structural exam beginning in April 2011. |
